What is liposomal B complex powder?
The B-group vitamins — B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin), B9 (folate) and B12 (methylcobalamin) — are essential, water-soluble micronutrients the body cannot store in large amounts. Liposomal B complex wraps these vitamins in a phospholipid layer — a microscopic vesicle — so more of the dose is protected through the digestive tract. What is it used for in formulation?
It is supplied as a bulk ingredient for brand owners and manufacturers building B-complex and “energy-category” functional products — most commonly ready-to-drink and effervescent beverages, single-serve sachets and stick packs, and dry mixes. Because it is soluble in water and neutral in pH (6–7), it suits beverage and powder systems where a single, standardised B-complex with all eight B vitamins is preferred over blending eight separate raw materials.
