The popular fruit tree of Annona muricata (Annonaceae) commonly known as graviola or soursop is commercially cultured in Central and South America and tropical countries. The edible fruit of this small tropical tree is extensively used to produce candy, juice, smoothies, ice cream and other sweet treats.
In addition, this plant is also important due to its various applications in folk medicine. All parts of this plant, including the bark, fruit seeds, leaves and roots are used in natural medicines in the tropics.
Direction of Use
Add 1-5 tablespoons or 2-6% of total weight or as needed. Mix, top or blend in water, smoothies, beverages, ice cream, kuih-muih, cake, jam, jelly, pudding, snacks, biscuits, desserts, dressings & recipes. The encapsulated aroma will be released once dissolved in warm water. (Depends on personal preferences)
