Our coconut water powder is spray-dried on starch hydrolysate to preserve the natural flavour and it has low water content making it easy to store. Normal coconut water has to be stored in the refrigerator. This powder can be stored on the storage shelf and conveniently turned into coconut water by just dissolving it back into the water.
Coconut is called as “tree of life” in many cultures. It is an edible fruit of the coconut palm (Cocos nucifera) from the family Arecaceae. It is believed that coconut originated somewhere in Indo-Malaya, however, it has spread generously across the tropics, thriving on sandy soils. The coconut tree has a straight, unbranched stem with large compound evergreen leaves. A mature coconut is ovoid or ellipsoid in shape, about 12-18 inches in height. It requires a year to fully ripen and a single coconut tree can yield about 100 coconuts annually. The term coconut refers to the fruit covered with a hard, green shell enclosed with a white and fleshy part (the meat) that is surrounded by flavoured liquid. The flavoured liquid is slightly sweet, known as coconut water, and appears clouded yet translucent, slightly thicker than water.
Coconut water powder water is naturally fat-free and can be consumed directly. It is thirst-quenching and very refreshing, thus making it a very popular beverage. Due to its high potassium and mineral content, it is also marketed as a sports drink to help the body recover after exercise. Furthermore, coconut water is also widely used in baking and cooking. One of the well-known benefits of coconut water is hydration. Coconut water consists of electrolytes like sodium, potassium and magnesium. Electrolytes help regulate our body pH, maintain fluid balance and ensure proper muscle contraction, keep us hydrated. Direction of Use
Add 1/8 teaspoon to 6 tablespoons or 0.2% to 6% of total weight or as needed. Mix, top or blend in water, smoothies, beverages, ice cream, kuih-muih, cake, jam, jelly, pudding, snacks, biscuits, desserts, dressing & recipes. (Depends on personal preferences)
