Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), a stalky plant with long, thin leaves, is one of the largely cultivated medicinal plants for its essential oils in parts of Asia, Africa and America. It has a fresh, lemony aroma and a citrus flavor. It is a common ingredient in soups, curries, laksa, and tomyam. One of the most popular ways to enjoy lemongrass is in tea.

Ginger Lemongrass Iced Tea
In a jar, add the tea bags to the hot boiling water. Let cool. In a small pot, make the Syrup by adding 3 teaspoon lemongrass extract powder and ginger to the water. Heat on medium heat until the water reduces to about 1/2 cup. Turn off the heat and set aside. Add the Syrup to the iced tea, follow by the lemon slices and ice. Stir to combine well and serve cold.

Tom Yum Soup
In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to boil. Then add a big handful of shrimp/prawn heads. Boil the prawn shells in water for approx 15 min.
Add 5 teaspoon lemongrass extract powder, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, bird's eye chilies, mushrooms to the shrimp stock and bring it to boil. Add in the shrimp and fish sauce. Lastly, add the lime juice. Boil until the shrimps are cooked, dish out and serve hot.

Direction of Use

Use for baking or beverage wherever a recipe calls for a flavour, colour & nutrient. Add 1-5 tablespoons or 2-6% as needed. Mix, top or blend in water, smoothies, beverages, ice-cream, kuih-muih, jelly, cake, biscuit, bread, dessert, dressing & recipes. Encapsulated aroma will release once dissolve in warm water.

Storage:

Store in cool & dry condition. Reseal after opening.
