Green biotechnology extraction

Roselle Hibiscus extract is extracted using dry calyx and it has intense color and flavor so making it suitable to be stored and easy to be diluted when comes to consumption. Besides, it can serve as a colorant in many cuisines including bakery because the color is stable upon high heating temperature. This extract contains natural vitamins and minerals such as calcium and potassium that quenches thirst and revitalises the body. The drink reportedly possesses anti-hypertensive, diuretic and mild laxative properties.

Roselle Hibiscus Juice
Measuring 2 teaspoon of Roselle Hibiscus powder and add into 1.5L water. Add 0.5 to 1 cups sugar – according to taste (you can sub with honey or rock sugar)
(start with 0.5 cup sugar, if you plan to add ice cubes later it’s okay to make the juice sweeter as the ice will melt)

Roselle Konnyaku Jelly
Put the konnyaku jelly powder and sugar in a bowl. Mix till well combined. Set aside. In a pot, mix in water, and measuring 2 tablespoon of roselle hibiscus powder. Bring to boil. Slowly add in mixture of sugar konnyaku jelly powder mixture. Whisk as you add until all konnyaku jelly powder dissolve. Spoon the konnyaku batter into the mold. Leave to cool for about 10-15 minutes. Keep inside fridge for an hour or until set. Enjoy!

Direction of Use

Use for baking or beverage wherever a recipe calls for a flavour, colour & nutrient. Add 1-5 tablespoons or 2-6% as needed. Mix, top or blend in water, smoothies, beverages, ice-cream, kuih-muih, jelly, cake, biscuit, jam, pudding, bao/bun, bread, dessert, popcorn, grazing & filling.


Store in cool & dry condition. Reseal after opening.
