They are juicy fruits, which are in the form of a group of small berries growing in bushes or vineyards climbing.
Blackberries contain numerous bioactive phytochemicals including polyphenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins, salicylic acid, ellagic acid, and fiber. Anthocyanins in blackberries are responsible for their rich dark color.
Cyanidin-3-Glucoside is the predominant anthocyanin in blackberries.

2. Relieve Anxiety and Induce Sleep
Rubus fruticosus exhibit central nervous system (CNS) depressant effects showing symptoms of relaxation or decreased activity.
Study showed that a dose-dependent CNS depression was observed in the forced swimming test in animal model. Animal fed with raspberry fruit exhibit longer immobility duration than other plant parts (root, leaves, stem) indicate CNS depression-like effect.
Blackberries are an excellent source of insoluble fiber. Fiber plays an important role in the digestive process by increasing the bulk of stools to make them easier to pass. A diet high in fiber can ease constipation.
Blackberries may support body’s ability to manage blood sugar levels thanks to their rich polyphenol content combined with their contribution of fibre and naturally low sugar content. Blackberries has positive impact on insulin resistance, thus beneficial for diabetes management
